Radio Music Mall

Almost 10 years ago, we started a “hobby” radio station dedicated to the sound of brass. It combined brass quartets, drum corps, brass bands, soloists and odd groups. It made for a poor mix. We changed it to all drum corps and brass bands and still the mix was poor. Finally, in a very short period of time it became a Brass Band station. Brass bands can and do play all kinds of music. Being a local ordained pastor and a fully ordained pastor, we loved the sounds of traditional Christian music played by Black Dyke and all kinds of top-notch Salvation Army Bands.

As a hobby station, there were many limitations. The ads were controlled by the hosting company and often didn’t fit. With the help of David and Val at Midland CD, we took the station “pro”. Midland helped by providing a constant source of advertising money. The station took off with Midland’s help. Unfortunately, the worldwide recession forced my kind sponsors to pull their adverts. This included: Chop-Sticks, Chop Savers, Flip Oakes Cornets, LOUD mouthpieces, PDF Brass, and Lip Butter.

All these fine companies along with Midland CD helped the station completely turn pro. But now, with no sponsors (we would be glad to make anyone a great deal, just contact us) we am trying something new - Radio Music Mall. Everything you buy from this mall has two things going for it. First, it is something we believe in. Second, they pay us a small percentage! It takes a fair sum of money to keep the station going: We have to buy CDs, hire programmers, hire voices, pay for web hosting, pay for broadcasting software, etc. Our income has be greatly reduced due to a disability and the church lowering pay. We cannot any longer foot the bill out of our pockets. Several hundred listeners listen to the station daily in over 100 countries. Quite an achievement.

Those of you who listen to the station, and have donated time, money and CDs - we sincerely thank you in all ways from the bottom of our hearts. Now you get the chance to support the station and get something in return. Products we endourse, such as wine, coolers, books, and all sorts of great stuff.

Most of the companies and products we are selling we have tried or seen in action. We, of course, have not tasted every wine, but friends have had us over for dinner and we have tasted some. Same is true of audiobooks. They are great to listen to while having some free time. If you are older or prone to headaches from reading, they are even better. Put them on your iPod and listen during a long drive or commute and the time flies by!

Hayneedle and Amazon have huge stores selling everything. Both sell high quality stuff with good return policies. No store or product pleases everyone, so I want to offer a variety. Hayneedle has over 200 stores and almost everyone who has been on the internet knows of Amazon and now Audible, the audio book division of Amazon. Great stuff. Again, if you start your shopping from this website, All Brass Radio recieves a percentage. Just shop there, and there is no way for the stores to know to give credit to All Brass Radio. Along those lines, contact us using this link if you ever have a suggestion for a CD we should consider. Contact us if your band would like to donate a CD. We give donated CDs a bit of extra play and a link on the front band page as a way of thanking you. We expecially appreciate CDs that are difficult to buy (as in only your band sells them at concerts).
